Veterinary Associations
To further our knowledge of the veterinary industry, several members of the VET CPA Association are also active members of VET Partners trade association.
Certified Tax Coaches
Each VET CPA Association member is a Certified Tax Coach and has completed the advanced training in proactive tax planning conducted by the American Institute of Certified Tax Coaches (AICTC), an independent not-for-profit corporation. In addition to the advanced training, all Certified Tax Coaches are also required to complete additional continuing education training (above state CPA guidelines) each year.

Throughout the year, the VET CPA Association hosts a series of educational webinars for our Veterinary practice focused members. Below are a series of webinars that outside speakers have presented for our group.

- Cost Segregation – Bedford Cost Segregation has presented to our group.
- CARR Healthcare Realty – Leading provider for veterinary practice office space negotiation, including lease rates, build-outs, real estate acquisition, signage, parking, and related negotiations.
- Fraud Risk Consulting – Susan Gunn shared insights on reducing fraud risks within dental practices.
- Veterinary Practice Management Software – Pelident and SIKKA have presented to our group.
- Automated Bookkeeping – Multiple vendors have demonstrated ways to automate bookkeeping processes and reduce labor costs.
- Offshore Bookkeeping – One vendor presented on increasing bookkeeping capacity through offshore staffing solutions.
- Student Loan Debt Consolidation – Leading providers discussed refinancing student loans and the impact on dental lending costs.
History
The VET CPA Association is managed by Build Your Firm, which is an accounting marketing and digital marketing agency dedicated to the CPA Accounting industry.
